Join us during National Nurse Practitioner week for an engaging and interactive webinar on: Diabetes in the Older Adult with a Focus on Hypoglycemia

We are excited to welcome Roberta Capelson, MS, ANP, an expert nurse practitioner specializing in endocrinology and diabetes management. With years of expertise in caring for older adults with diabetes, Roberta brings a wealth of knowledge to the discussion, particularly on managing hypoglycemia in this population.

Overview:
This 90-minute session will explore the complexities of managing diabetes in older adults, with a particular emphasis on hypoglycemia and its impact on treatment strategies.

The webinar will begin with a presentation covering key considerations such as:
  • Goals of therapy in older adults
  • The role of Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM)
  • Navigating polypharmacy and concurrent medication use, including beta blockers and weight loss medications
  • The importance of diabetic education
  • Resources and guidelines to inform and guide therapy

Following the presentation, we will dive into case studies.
