Hospital Medicine Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Educator New

Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School – Baystate, is seeking Acute Care Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants Educators to join our organization.

Staff Hospital Medicine Position Highlights:

• Join our team of 30+ NPs and PAs who practice hospital medicine at Baystate Medical Center (BMC) in Springfield MA as well as at our 3 regional community hospitals. BMC is our flagship 716-bed academic hospital and tertiary care center as well as the region’s only Level I trauma center.  Our community hospitals are in nearby Palmer, Westfield and Greenfield MA. 
• Clinical responsibilities include rounding, admitting, cross-covering and strong multi-disciplinary collaboration as we provide evidence-based care to our diverse adult patient population.
• Practice autonomously while benefitting from strong physician, APP, and nursing support.
• This is a full-time position and the schedule consists of 10 and 12-hour shifts per 3-week block (mix of days, nights, weekends).

Clinical Supervisor/Educator Opportunity:

• Protected time is available for those interested in a formal educator role. Educational responsibilities include monthly evidence-based trainings for the APP team, developing and expanding our Hospital Medicine APP Residency Program, providing and coordinating regular lectures, and facilitating orientation for new hires.
• Dedicated APP leadership, including our Hospital Medicine APP Supervisor and Director of APPs, will support your ongoing professional development.
• As an APP leader, we value your partnership in advancing the role of APPs throughout our health system.
• This position will offer protected time

$7,500 bonus available for candidates with 3+ years of hospital medicine experience. 

Qualifications: Board certified ACNPs, AGACNPs or PAs with a minimum of 2 years of inpatient APP experience.
