Position Description

The MetroWest Free Medical Program (MWFMP) is looking for a warm, compassionate, highly-organized, nurse manager for all our medical programs.   The individual in this position will need to be both flexible and organized, able to balance many competing priorities, and coordinate and inspire a team of passionate, dedicated volunteers and staff.

The MetroWest Free Medical Program has been providing free care to uninsured and underinsured patients since 2004.  Our services include Adult Medicine, Women’s Health, and Vision Care. We deliver care through a combination of in-person services and virtual care.  We are a critical part of the patient safety net in the area West of Boston.  The majority of our patients are Brazilian and Portuguese speaking and have difficulty accessing care.

Today is both a challenging and exciting time for our non-profit organization.  We continue to have a high demand for services by patients who have difficulty or are unable to access medical care  in other settings except for the emergency room.

The Nurse Manager will manage the evening programs in Marlborough on Tuesday Evenings.  The position requires scheduling and managing a team of dedicated clinic staff and volunteers for Adult Medicine and supporting the Clinical Coordinators for Women’s Health and Vision Programs, working with physicians and clinical staff to provide patient medical care as well as case management and referrals, and collaboration among our programs.

We are looking for an experienced RN or Nurse Practitioner with excellent communication skills.  We are looking for a flexible, creative person for this role, with a strong desire to serve a vulnerable population in the MetroWest area.
