Call for Nominations for MCNP Board of Directors

Posted on 11/7/2022

Dear Colleague,

Since the passage of Full Practice Authority in January 2021, it has been an exciting time for Nurse Practitioners in Massachusetts and also one of growth and transition for the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners (MCNP).

As an organization, we have spent the past several years working to improve our business operations and more recently updating our bylaws so they will be consistent with our current practices.

Our revised bylaws will help us govern more effectively as a non-profit corporation and have allowed us to re-structure our Board composition to better represent the needs of our membership and support our mission to advance NP practice by means of Leadership, Education, Advocacy, and the Delivery of exceptional care.

With this work underway, I am excited to announce the Call for Nominations for Officer and Director Candidates to serve on the MCNP Board of Directors.

We are looking for thoughtful and curious Nurse Practitioners from diverse backgrounds, with any level of experience, to engage with us as we chart the future of the MCNP. We are eager for an infusion of new ideas and talent and are excited to mentor the next generation of MCNP leaders.

Open Officer positions include President Elect and Recording Clerk.

Director opportunities include Regional Directors to represent MCNP regions across the state, a State Legislative Policy Director and a Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Health Equity.

The personal and professional rewards of this type of service are countless, and in addition to networking, mentoring, and leadership opportunities, you will help advance the role of Massachusetts Nurse Practitioners in our ever-changing health care landscape.

I encourage you to answer the call to serve for what I know will be a rich and rewarding experience.
